On Friday, we kicked off the new school year with the Sustainability Action Fair as part of Welcome Week! 🌱
First-year and transfer students (and Goldy) stopped by to connect with sustainability clubs/orgs, units and resources, learn about ways to get involved, guess how much our new solar expansion project (from 2 MW ➡️ 6 MW) could power, and discover how they can take action on campus and beyond. Yesterday, with the support of Energy Management and Capital Project Management, we celebrated the solar groundbreaking of Lot 37, one of the seven planned solar installation projects across the Twin Cities campus. This phase of new installations will add 4 megawatts of solar capacity across surface parking areas and rooftop sites to support the 2023 Climate Action Plan.
