Did you hear? Mother-daughter alumnae Dr. Amy Bragg Carey ’80 and Anna Marie Carey ’09 have released their debut book, Claimed by God! 📖

Published by InterVarsity Press, the devotional explores 30 life-giving declarations about our identity and purpose in Christ. Each chapter draws from Scripture and personal stories to encourage readers, strengthen their faith, and draw them back to the Lord.

Amy serves as president of Friends University, while Anna is a writer and worship leader based in Saint Paul.

Congratulations to this MA mother-daughter author team!

Alumni Around the World | Harare, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Over the past year and a half, Andrew Carlson has immersed himself in Zimbabwe’s entrepreneurial community—first developing a loan and financing program for a U.S.-based nonprofit and then partnering with a local entrepreneur to build several startup companies.

Now, Andrew is pursuing business and project ideas of his own, including the possibility of a small boutique hotel near Victoria Falls.

We look forward to seeing how Andrew continues to turn ideas into opportunities while building connections in Zimbabwe.

Starting high school is a major transition—for students and parents alike.

Minnehaha Academy Upper School guidance counselor Christine Paton recently joined MPR News host Angela Davis for a conversation about helping teens navigate harder classes, changing friendships, new social pressures, and growing independence. The conversation explores how parents can keep communication open, when to step in or step back, and how to recognize when a student may need additional support.
