Join us on Zoom on April 7 for Beyond Words at Home, Literacy Minnesota's signature fundraising event. This year's virtual event will feature Minnesota author Kao Kalia Yang in conversation with members of our Open Door Book Club: a dedicated group of ESL and GED learners and literacy volunteers.
Together they will discuss Yang’s essay, “Dark Trees in the Landscape of Love,” which appears in A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota. Following the book club discussion, there will be opportunities for guests to ask questions and share their own thoughts.
Get tickets now at literacymn.org/beyond-words-at-home. Tickets are pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $50. Sponsorship opportunities are also still available!
