All MHSPA member advisers are invited to enter their students in the North Star Awards.

These awards recognize student journalists who have excelled as journalists, leaders and scholars. All inductees will receive a certificate of recognition and the list will be published on MHSPA’s website.

Fourteen students participated in Journalism Day at the Guthrie on April 16. Students were treated to a backstage tour of the Guthrie Theater including the set design and costume creation areas. A theater critic for the Star Tribune spoke to the students and gave tips on writing reviews. Students then saw a matinee performance of "The Bluest Eye.” Four students were recognized in a review writing competition.
