SCCC will have part time openings in our younger preschool room starting June 15th! We are looking for families who value connection, collaboration, and child-centered learning.

Our program is built on relationships — between children, teachers, and families — creating a space where everyone belongs and grows together.

This week a fellow SCCC community parent & career librarian volunteered to teach one of our classes about books. The children also recently learned the difference between what makes a “story” and what makes a “book”. Each child was then given a blank notebook to create a book of their very own!

We love how our parents are so eager to engage and share their knowledge and expertise to help our children grow and learn new things ❤️

Our friends have partnered with SCCC for a “Dine Out and Give Back” event:

As you know, SCCC makes a lasting impact on the children, families, and staff who are part of our community. We also believe that caring for kids in a diverse and inclusive environment is one of the best ways to ensure our community stays a safe and welcoming place for all. If SCCC has been a part of your story, or if you care about the Seward community as a whole, we invite you to give back and help us keep that legacy going. Your support helps us keep childcare costs down, pay staff fairly, and grow our scholarship fund for families who need it.

Monthly donations – at any level –make a real difference. We know asking for a monthly donation for a “service” you don't receive is a big ask. However, we are working hard to help SCCC become more financially stable without raising tuition beyond what regular families can afford, and without relying on grant funding that is becoming more and more sparse. As we look at the current political climate, we feel very strongly that raising our children to be kind and inclusive community members means we need to vote with our dollars for the institutions we see embodying our values each day. And to say thanks, we’ll have gifts this winter for anyone who donates $5, $10, or $20 per month: an SCCC magnet, tote bag, or t-shirt, respectively. We are also starting a Garden of Giving with engraved stones to commemorate any donors who make a one-time gift of $1,000 or more.
