Happy Father’s Day dad. You were the best. A great grandpappy too. Sure miss chatting Packers with you. You’d love Love. And wish we could talk politics. You’d be even more confused by the cult of Trump than you were five years ago. Cheers to you dad🍻 and a toast to all the dads out there

Mauri O Twin Cities Friends - Here is a super cool opportunity for a family to host a high school student from the Island country of Kiribati. There are six students coming to the US next year and I am working to place two of them in homes in the Twin Cities, ideally NE Minneapolis but any place in the TC will work. If you can't you may know a family who would want to. They are sponsored through the American Council Exchange program and all costs are covered. The students all speak fluent English and have been through a rigorous process to get chosen. As you know, Kiribati is near and dear to me. Please share this with others and contact me if you are interested. Tiabo

The Kiribati Project - The First Climate Change Refugees? 08/04/2018

For those who live in the Twin Cities and are free on Thursday August 9 from 6:30 - 8:00, I am doing a presentation called Kiribati - The first climate Change Refugees. This will be in the community room at East Side Co-op in Northeast Mpls. on Central Avenue. Come learn about this tiny little Island country in the Pacific. I lived there for 2 years 26 years ago and they are one of the most vulnerable countries in the world in regards to climate change, glacial melt and ocean rise in both level and temperature.
For more info check out my website at :

Hello All, After taking several months off from social media of all kinds to research, write as well as take care of my aging dad, I am now back to let you know of something new I am offering at Beyond the Walls Education. With over thirty five years in education, along with traveling to many parts of the world, I have collected a wide range of fun and interesting tales. I am now offering workshops for teachers, administrators, and any one else involved with teaching others, using my own stories to inspire. I also encourage participants to examine their own stories and how they have impacted their careers and lives. I cover areas such as Implicit Bias, Learning from Failure, Music and the Arts, Our Roots, and many others. Please take a few minutes to visit my website at:

to see all of the workshop offerings. Please pass on others as well. Cheers and have a good day

Story Telling Workshops - Self discovery and reflection Our stories are what make us human and differentiate us from all other living creatures.
