Travel Blogger for Travelers with Chronic Illness

05/05/2026

Story time. The first time I did this hike was September 2025, just at the very end of a really intense couple weeks of health mishaps. ER visit for stomach ulcer, endometriosis flare, ebstein barr virus flare, dyshydrotic eczema flare, and then a staph infection. Yikes.

My first time doing this hike was, needless to say, beautiful, but also SO difficult because my body was insanely weak after these back to back health issues. I was still taking my steroid meds at the time to help my eczema and staph infection. But walking on these trails literally made me feel like I had never once done physically activity in my life. My heart was pounding, I had such a bad side ache, and I was absolutely exhausted. Soooo weak.

Last week, I did this hike for the second time. And this time, I couldn’t believe the difference of completing this hike vs my first time. My body is stronger, more in tact, and I haven’t been dealing with insane health flares that has been keeping me from staying active.

It’s moments like this that remind me how much my chronic health issues show up in my travels. It’s funny to notice your health progress through the lens of travel.

Anyways! This hike is unreal and so gorgeous and I’m grateful I got to do it twice in the last 6 months. 🤍

This post makes me emotional to make, because at its core, it indicates how much I truly have evolved and changed over the last year. As life has changed over this time, so has been interests, my mind, and my purpose. Moving forward into the foreseeable future, I will no longer be offering any coaching or meditation services. I will be finishing up with my current clients, and after that, I am bringing my coaching practices to a close. For now, at least.

These last 9 months, I have experienced great familial grief and transitions to the point where it doesn’t make sense to do the things I was doing in my life before my dad passed. In any area of my life. For now, I need to be my own client. I need to slow down and operate out of a place of healing versus survival. I need to use what life has shown me this year and navigate how I will move forward into the rest of my life. Personally, professionally, and spiritually.

With that being said, my work in wellness and healing is not over. It is just beginning. And I want to offer professional services where I have the capacity and heightened knowledge to do so. I will be continuing more education in the near future. But before that is announced and finalized, I need to establish the new foundations in my life and give myself uninterrupted time to grieve and not rush into the next thing in my life. Which was my normal way of doing things. And I want to break that cycle, so this is me doing that.

I’m unsure if I’ll be deleting my business Instagram, but for now, feel free to follow my personal page where I will continue to share my passions and education centered in wellness, natural healing, and my endeavors/journey of my future education. I’m SO excited for the next time I offer services to be something you all have never seen before come from me. But for now, cheers to beautiful weather and the opportunity to make new plans in life and transcend. Much love, Sav.

What a WEEK it has been! I’m so grateful to have attended my fourth work conference covering social media. There were so many professional lessons, personal realizations, and creative ideas that came to the surface in my week of networking and grinding in Orlando. So, I thought I’d share them all with you here. ⇩

1 ) Doing a job you thoroughly enjoy makes a difference in not only your professional life, but your personal life as well. It also increases the performance of the work you do and it becomes obvious to those around you that the quality of your work is based on your “why” behind it.

2 ) I am a person who thinks of new business endeavors every single week. It’s so hard for me to think about the future of my professional self when I have so many passions and lines of work that bring me joy.

3 ) Fully being yourself can be extremely well received be some and entirely not well received by others. Those who have opposing opinions on how you authentically show up in your life are not the ones who have a spot at your table. It’s also not your business what others think of you.

4 ) Going off of #3, ALWAYS BE KIND. Do what you need to do to push forward when you’re being tested by others. Misery loves company and you, my friend, can learn to thrive on your own. Even if you’re kindness is not well received by others, keep moving forward and stay true to your morals and values.

5 ) Social Media Marketing and Social Content creating has become something in my life I never thought it would. It was over lockdown in 2020 when I get more inspired by the professional world of social media and wanted to learn more. Here I am, a Social Media Manager for a global company, traveling around the country, and working on enhancing my performance across the multiple brands I cover. The opportunities don’t end here, and I think it’s time to take this work to the next level with personal clients. Stay tuned.

6 ) You can be involved in multiple industries in your professional life. If you asked me what industry I’m a part of, I would say list at least 5 or 6. It keeps me on my toes and versatile in the work I do.

Cheers to more growth opportunities! 🥂

This post was inspired by one of my incredible clients. 🤍

I have heard people say that they’re future kids are what motivate them and get them out of bed. I have heard other people say that the reward of a different and better life is what motivates them to work towards their goals. And I’ve heard people say that they don’t know what motivates them. If you can relate to any of this, you’re not alone.

It’s easy to set a goal. What’s not easy is to find out “why” of setting that goal.

- Why do I want to work towards this goal?
- Why now?
- Why did I set this goal in the first place?

Knowing the deepest parts of these answers comes from accessing the deepest parts of ourselves first. 🤍

You can make an entire play-by-play list of what you want to start doing to heal, work on your goals, and change your circumstances. It sounds obvious, but none of that list matters unless you actually move forward and implement the changes set in front of you. It is up to you and no one else.

So, what are you going to do today to do what healing requires?

Today, I am exhausted. More than usual. It’s been so difficult for me to get out of bed, even with more than enough hours of sleep. I realized that my physical rest may not be the rest I fully need. That is where my inspiration of this post came from this morning.

As we inch near bringing this winter to a close, we may be feeling tired, defeated, and restless. Use this moment as a chance to check in with where you’re actually at and what you actually need. Sending love. Always.

There are many ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day even if you don’t have a boo. I believe that first and foremost, this day should be a day honoring yourself and the love you have for yourself. Because if that isn’t first in your life, then forget it.

I wanted to capture the Four Bodies doing this post as a way to see how you can work with your naturally in your day to day life.

Sending love and sending ease to all today. 🤍
