When it comes to weight loss there are three key areas that you want to focus on.
1) You need to be in a calorie deficit. This means eating less calories than your body burns. But, here’s the deal, if you drop your calories too low, you won’t lose weight. Your body will go into starvation mode. To avoid this, multiply your body weight by 10-12. This is going to put you in the perfect calorie range. Be noted, you should never go below 1200 calories.
2) Protein intake should be your main focus when it comes to what you’re putting in your body. Protein takes longer for your body to digest and makes your body work harder while digesting it, causing your body to burn more calories to break down the protein. Protein also helps promote muscle gain. Muscle gain boosts your metabolism so that you can lose body fat and become tight and toned. Aim for 1g of protein per pound of body weight. If that seems like a lot, just eat about a hand sized portion of protein at each meal.
3) Water and hydration levels need to be balanced. You need to be hydrated. Hydration will help you suppress your appetite, boost your metabolism, and make exercise easier. When it comes to water and hydration, you should aim for ½oz of water per pound of body weight.
Focus on those three things and you will see the weight come off!

What is the most important thing when it comes to your health and your fitness?
Some would say consistency.
Some would say sustainability.
I would say STRUCTURE.
Structure takes consistency and sustainability and makes them a little more intentional.
You can be consistent in the gym.
You can have a sustainable diet.
But if there is no structure to what you are doing, you could be chasing your tail for a while.
