To continue to build a strong judicial clerkship community at the law school, the Career Center is hosting a casual breakfast reception to celebrate the judicial clerkships our graduating 3Ls and recent alumni have secured in the past couple years.

If you, your friends, or your students have secured a post-graduate judicial clerkship, or if you may be interested in pursuing a judicial clerkship in the future, please join us from 9:30am-10:30am on Thursday, May 9, 2024 in Auerbach Commons for breakfast, coffee and tea. We are inviting the entire law school community, alumni, judges, law clerks, employers, families, and friends to this celebration. The MN Law Career Center will be hosting a virtual Recruiting Season Q&A Session tomorrow (Tuesday, June 6th) 12:00-1:00 pm CST for you to ask any questions that you have about the recruiting season. We will also demo how to submit bids on symplicity, talk through common questions students have asked in the past, and share tips for navigating the recruiting process. This will take place over Zoom.

Walkaround Program

For the first time since 2019, we are going to put on our walkaround program to give you the chance to visit various law firms around Minneapolis.

This is an awesome opportunity to see downtown firms and network with firm staff and attorneys who will be running the summer recruitment process.

On June 13, 20, and 27 we will be bringing groups of students to 3 firms in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.

We ask that you commit to a morning/afternoon block of time in its entirety. You can attend as many blocks of time as you’d like.

Yi Wang '15 is Senior Associate in the Global Financial Markets practice group at Clifford Chance's Luxembourg Office and a member of the firm's "Asia to Europe" initiative.

Yi was a Chinese international student at the University of Minnesota Law School and spent both of his summers interning at White & Case's Beijing Office. He studied abroad in Germany during the first semester of his 3L year, and secured a post-graduate position with a law firm in Luxembourg afterwards.

Come to meet Yi and learn about his job search strategies and journey, as well as potential opportunities for US JD holders in Europe!
