Miles Broske Clarinet

Clarinetist Miles Broske hails from Northfield, Minnesota.

Miles earned his Bachelor of Arts in General Music St. Olaf College as a Christiansen Scholarship recipient and student of Scott Anderson. He served in dual positions as a member of The St. Olaf Band under the direction of Timothy Mahr and The St. Olaf Orchestra under maestro Steven Amundson. During his four year tenure with the band, Miles rose from the position of section member second clarinet in his freshman year to principal first clarinet and section leader in his senior year. In his three years with the orchestra Miles performed as auxiliary during his sophomore year, co-principal during his junior year, and principal during his senior year.

Miles has studied with Scott Anderson of St. Olaf College; Jun Qian of Baylor University; Gabriel Campos Zamora of the Minnesota Orchestra; Anthony Taylor and Kelly Burke while at Eastern Music Festival; and Chad Burrow while studying at Sewanee Summer Music Festival.

Miles has studied three summer music festivals of high esteem; Interlochen Summer Arts Camp, Eastern Music Festival, and Sewanee Summer Music Festival.

I'm glad to finally present this recording of my Senior Recital at St. Olaf College! Thanks to Gabriel Campos Zamora and Scott Anderson for all of your guidance during my preparation.

I'm excited to announce that the St. Olaf Orchestra has won the 2018-19 American Prize in Orchestral performance! It was an honor and privilege to perform with the orchestra on our East Coast Tour, with a premiere performance at Carnegie Hall, and on our Norway Tour.
