Campus, including the library, will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
Did you know? November 11 was first celebrated in the US as Armistice Day, after the fighting in WWI ended with the signing of the armistice on November 11, 1918. Veterans Day officially became a holiday in 1954, by act of Congress, expanding the observance to honor all those who have served in other wars as well. Learn more about Veterans Day and Veterans’ issues by visiting the library website (link in bio), clicking on Find Resources and searching in our Library OneSearch.
STUDENTS: We hope you can join us TOMORROW morning, Wednesday, 10/29!
Minneapolis College Library is pleased to present an Illuminate Quest workshop, “Think for Yourself.” This drop-in event will include activities designed to guide you through the process of unlocking the knowledge within. Participate in a Gallery Walk to see how art inspires and impacts. Explore the world of Artificial Intelligence as it relates to your experience as a student. Make a button to express yourself. Learn about zines, and make your own mini-zine. Check out related library resources and suggest your own additions to our special themed display. Tours of the library and refreshments will be available as well. We look forward to seeing you Think for Yourself @ the Library!
