I have just signed up for a new Continuing Ed course at MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design). It is online and geared to anyone who is perhaps dissatisfied with their current work and seeking to figure out what would bring them more satisfaction, or those (like me) who are always trying to bring as much of themselves as possible to their work and to find greater meaning through the experience. It is taught by Manoj Fenlon, whom I have known for more than 5 years - first at The New School and now at MCAD. He taught a beautiful course for the MA Creative Leadership Program and we recognized that what he is offering merits reaching many more people -- as so many of us are questioning the why, what, how, and where of work. If you can carve out some time on Tuesdays from 7-8pm Central, I encourage you to take Life Quest: Finding Your Vocation with me and others. Click on this link to register for this course.

If you are contemplating grad school for the upcoming year, our next MA Creative Leadership (MACL) Info Session at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design will be held next Tuesday, Feb 7. While the priority deadline has passed it is still possible to submit an application! Program Director Diane Ragsdale will be joined by special guest, Nina Simon, author, field & thought leader, entrepreneur, facilitator of inclusive change--and faculty for the MACL program.

Nina is widely known for her books "The Art of Relevance" and "The Participatory Museum," as well as her long-running and wildly popular blog Museum 2.0. She is an Ashoka fellow, cultural manager, author, and a leader in the movement for more inclusive and relevant cultural and civic organizations.

Diane will be talking with Nina about her work in the world, her thoughts on leading inclusive change based on her considerable experience with this process, and some of the key themes and assignments in the Community Change Projects that she supervises for the MACL program.

Here’s the link for those who might be contemplating grad school now, or in the future, and want to learn more or ask questions.
