"...'Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying." (Matthew 28:5-6).

He Is Risen! Today we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It's on the cross nearly 2,000 years ago that He paid the full penalty for the sins of humanity, by taking on God's wrath in our place (Isaiah 53:7, Ephesians 1:7, Romans 5:6-11, 18-19). This is GOOD NEWS! This is the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)!

While we were still sinners, dead in our sins, Jesus laid down His life for those who rejected, hated, mocked, bruised, tortured, and crucified Him so that we can be reconciled with God (Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:4-5).

In John 11:25-26, Jesus says "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die". He then asks Martha, “Do you believe this?” Like Martha, it is up to all of us to provide an answer to this question.

We all have the free will to reject or accept his free gift; it’s either we pay for the penalty of our sins ourselves or believe in what has already been paid in full. Through him and only him we have eternal life. Happy Resurrection day!

“Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” (Romans 5:18-19).

What we celebrate in the first advent of the Lord is that God made a way for humanity to be reconciled with Him through Christ. In stepping out of eternity and into time, Jesus condescended to our level and entered into His creation so that he could eventually go to the cross.

On the cross, Jesus took on God’s wrath which we deserved. He paid the penalty that we couldn’t pay so that those that believe in Him can have everlasting life. The first advent of the Lord should ultimately lead us to the gospel message which Paul elaborates on in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose on the third day, according to the scriptures.

Jesus came the first time to die for sinners and one day He will come back again to judge the living and the dead and rule and reign. The understanding of the second advent of Christ should give us hope and joyous anticipation that the life we’re living now is not the end. That the wickedness we see seemingly go unchecked around us will not go unpunished. That the suffering we see many experience or we ourselves go through won’t last forever and is in fact a blip on the radar compared to the glory that awaits us (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).

If you have not placed your faith in Jesus, I encourage you to do so. God sent His son into the world to die for sinners. It’s only through the free gift of God that we can have hope in a reconciled relationship with God and in His return. The world constantly looks towards many things for hope, fulfillment, and satisfaction, but only God can satisfy us. I pray that this Christmas you consider this ultimate gift that God is extending to you in the person of Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!

Should a Lack of Interest Stop Christians from Studying Bible Prophecy?

Many Christians avoid Bible prophecy, seeing it as confusing, speculative or irrelevant. I believe that as Christians we should move beyond personal disinterest and see God’s revelation of the future as a source of hope, not fear. Bible prophecy is about hope, obedience, and living with with an eternal perspective. All Scripture, including Bible prophecy, is meant to equip and encourage us until Christ returns.

Since starting this ministry, I’ve had the privilege of talking to Christians who hold a variety of views on Bible prophecy. Some are filled with hope due to what God’s Word promises us is to come, while others are unfortunately filled with fear from what they read in books like Daniel and Revelation.

Some are passionate about the subject, while others aren’t interested. Those who fit into the latter group may see it as a topic worth talking about and teaching others about, but don’t have the personal interest, for a number of reasons, to study it for themselves.

I believe that as Christians, we do ourselves a disservice in using a lack of interest as a reason not to study certain areas of scripture. I don’t believe a lack of personal interest in the subject should stop someone from having a basic understanding in this area.

If you find yourself lacking a basic understanding in this area and don’t know where to start, I encourage you to navigate to (or comment below or DM me to get the link to) the page on my website, Bible Prophecy Basics, where I give quick overviews of key ideas in Bible prophecy.

Hey guys! I've largely been away from actively posting on social media since the wrap up of season 2 of my podcast in early March. Originally, I was hoping to get back into the swing of things after a month or so of break but but haven't been able to do so due to other responsibilities such as serving on the teaching team at my church's youth ministry which has been an immense blessing but also demands separate time and attention.

I'm usually pretty bad at keeping you guys in the loop but wanted to provide an update on what you should be expecting from the ministry in the next few months. By God's grace, I'll be getting married in the summer which is exciting! I'm looking forward to what the Lord has in store for me and my fiancée and would appreciate your prayers as we prepare for that. Due to this new and exciting development, my focus will be directed towards preparing for the wedding which I'm sure many of you can imagine is a lot of work on its own 😂

So I will be putting a pause on the prep work for season 3 of the podcast. I also wont plan on actively posting on social media for the most part. I may or may not post something now and then if I find the time to. Lord willing, I plan to get back into things once I'm "settled" late summer/early fall. I still have a lot of plans and a lot I want to get done for the ministry! Despite me not being as active, you can still dive into my content on the website, social media, podcast, and Youtube channel. Blessings!

An introduction to the book of Revelation. In this first episode to the series, I tackle some key questions to lay the groundwork for the rest of the study. "Who wrote Revelation?" "What's the genre of Revelation?" "When was Revelation Written?" "How is Revelation interpreted?" And "Who was Revelation Written to?"
