BHS Spanish Trip to Peru

Home sweet home Minnesota!

Looking good in Miami after not much sleep! Off to Charlotte and hoping for no delays to MSP because of snow? Wait, what? Snow? Not sure we can do snow after this trip so near the equator.

It’s 11:50pm in Lima, what are we doing? We’re hanging out at gate D5 waiting for our 12:45am flight to Miami.

It was such a great day up the mountain to Ccoñamura School. The children were between the ages of 4-11. The BHS students sat with the students, made some new friends, played some games in playground area and distributed the gift bags that they packed a couple of days before. It was hard for all of us and them to say goodbye.

The chocolate factory before 9am, packing bags for local students, and making pottery after free time in town? Sí por favor, muchas gracias!

We started out at 5:20am and had over four hours of travel by bus and train but, it was so awesome to see Machupicchu (or Machu Picchu)!!! Definitely one of the 7 wonders of the world! Great lunch, a little shopping and then the ride/s back - with some entertainment on the way!

Up and over the mountains for some great scenery and experiences in Valle Sagrado! Gotta get to sleep for an early departure to Machupicchu!

Buenos dias! We really alpaca’d it in today (sorry, bad dad pun).

We saw a lot of the city and some very old Inca built structures.
