Delegation & Assignment Strategy 🏥
Delegation questions test leadership, prioritization, and safety.
Many candidates miss these questions because they guess instead of applying structure.
Remember:
• RN = assessments, unstable patients, initial teaching
• LPN = stable patients with predictable outcomes
• UAP = routine, non-invasive tasks
If the patient is unstable, newly admitted, or requires teaching — the RN handles it.
Always ask yourself:
“Who is the MOST appropriate and safest person for this task?”
Mastering delegation questions can significantly increase your NCLEX score.
Do delegation questions challenge you?

Pediatric NCLEX Strategy 👶🩺
Children are NOT small adults — and NCLEX will test you on that.
When answering pediatric questions, remember:
✔ Vital signs vary by age
✔ Developmental stage affects care
✔ Medications are weight-based
✔ Communication must match the child’s level
✔ Airway and safety always come first
Always ask yourself:
“What is appropriate for this child’s age?”
Understanding growth and development will help you eliminate wrong answers quickly.
Are pediatric questions your strength or your challenge?

OB Emergency Priority Strategy 🤰🚨
Obstetric emergency questions focus on recognizing life-threatening complications quickly.
When answering OB priority questions on the NCLEX:
✔ Assess for excessive bleeding (postpartum hemorrhage)
✔ Monitor for signs of preeclampsia (high BP, headache, visual changes)
✔ Watch fetal heart rate patterns carefully
✔ Recognize signs of placental complications
✔ Prioritize maternal safety first in unstable situations
Always ask yourself:
“Who is at greater risk right now — mother or baby?”
On the NCLEX, early recognition and rapid intervention are key.
Are OB emergency questions one of your weak areas?

Pharmacology Safety Strategy 💊
Medication questions on the NCLEX focus heavily on patient safety and clinical judgment.
To answer correctly, remember:
✔ Always apply the 5 Rights of medication administration
✔ Clarify unclear or questionable prescriptions
✔ Know common side effects and adverse reactions
✔ Understand peak, trough, and therapeutic levels
✔ Monitor for allergies and drug interactions
If something seems unsafe — pause and reassess.
On the NCLEX, safety always comes first.
Do pharmacology questions make you nervous, or are they your strength?
