Long overdue! But here are the photos from the Harrison Eagles Class of 2026!

To the Harrison Eagles Class of 2026:
First, congratulations.
Whether I have known you for four years or only a short time, it has been an honor to be a part of your journey.
Today is a day worth celebrating. Not because you were perfect. Not because the road was easy. Not because every assignment was completed on time or every obstacle disappeared when you wanted it to.
Today matters because you kept going.
Many of you were in sixth grade when the world changed. One day you were sitting in classrooms, talking with friends, learning face-to-face, and the next day school became computer screens, virtual meetings, uncertainty, and isolation.
Some of your middle school years were spent trying to figure out who you were while the world itself was trying to figure out what came next.
And yet, here you are.
You made it.
Not only through a pandemic, but through all the challenges that came after it.
This year alone, our city has experienced pain, uncertainty, fear, loss, and protest. We have seen how events outside of school can affect the lives of students, families, and entire communities.
Yet through it all, you continued to show up. You continued to grow. You continued to move forward.
As a teacher, I've had the privilege of watching many of you over the past several years. Some I've known for four years. Some I've known for less. But one thing has become clear: your personalities have started to shine.
I've watched quiet students find their voices. I've watched students who doubted themselves discover strengths they didn't know they had. I've watched young people become young adults.
And that growth is something nobody can ever take away from you.
Now, graduates, I want to tell you something that I hope you remember long after today.
People often say, "The sky is the limit."
I disagree.
The sky is not the limit.
The sky is just the beginning.
Above the sky is an entire universe filled with possibilities that have not even been discovered yet. There are careers you haven't imagined. Places you haven't traveled. People you haven't met. Dreams you haven't dreamed. Versions of yourself you haven't become.
Do not allow anyone - including yourself - to place limits on what you can achieve.
Your diploma is not the finish line.
It's a launch pad.
There is a message I believe in:
Elevate People. Inspire Change.
You don't have to become famous to make an impact. You don't have to have millions of dollars to change a life.
Sometimes changing the world starts by helping one person feel seen. One person feel valued. One person feel capable.
As you move forward, elevate people. Encourage people. Believe in people. And never stop believing in yourselves.
Class of 2026, your story is still being written. This chapter may be ending, but your future is just beginning.
Years from now, I hope you remember this moment... not because of the speeches, the caps, the gowns, or even the diplomas, but because this was the day you realized how far you've come and how much is still possible.
Congratulations.
We are proud of you.
We believe in you.
And we can't wait to see where in this universe your journey takes you.
