Dear Seniors and Parents/Guardians,
Let me take this opportunity to congratulate the Class of 2026. They made it, well
done!
Graduating from high school is a once in a lifetime event. It is not a requirement to
participate in the ceremony at Harrison, but rather a privilege. I am so delighted that
you have been part of Harrison family and this amazing learning community.
I know for some, it may seem difficult to believe that your high school journey will
end on June 8th and a new journey will start for you that same day. For
parents/guardians, this is always a special moment to see a new beginning for your
child.
The Harrison team would like to extend our sincere congratulations to your child and
you. We will have a short ceremony on Monday, June 8, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm for
the senior students at Harrison. The event will be held in the gym. We are excited to

Due to severe winter weather, there will be a severe weather day for MPS students Monday, March 16.

Students in elementary school (pre-K to 5) will have no school and students in middle and high school (6 to 12) will have an e-learning day in order to meet state required instructional hours.

MPS-sponsored programs and activities including adult education will be canceled.

Hey HEC Eagles Family,
We want each and every one of you to be safe. There will be no school Thursday or Friday this week (January 8th & 9th). Please read the message below.

Dear MPS families,

Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no school on Thursday, January 8, 2026 and Friday, January 9, 2026 due to safety concerns related to today’s incidents around the city.

All MPS-sponsored programs, activities, athletics, Community Education, including Adult Education, will be canceled. The District will not move to e-learning because that is only allowable for severe weather.

MPS will continue collaborating with the City of Minneapolis and other partners on emergency preparedness and response.
