Meet Fatima, a Metro State University graduate from the College of Management. A Moroccan-American, first-generation student, Fatima transferred to Metro State with an associate degree from Normandale Community College and wanted to earn a bachelor’s in business. The transition from community college to the university environment was not always easy, but her Metro advisors and professors offered support and encouragement every step of the way.
“My parents gave up everything to give me and my siblings better opportunities and a chance at succeeding. If it wasn't for their sacrifice and bringing us to America, I would have never gotten the privilege to gain this level of education,” said Fatima. “I appreciate my professors and advisor for doing everything in their ability to make my educational experience feel valuable and welcoming.”
Are you considering a bachelor’s degree program but don’t know where to start? We’re here to help!
