Commencement is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the High School Stadium. In the event of rain, a ticket is required for entry to the High School Gymnasium.

Greetings Minersville Area families,
This week we celebrate our teachers and everything they do for your children each day. I’m a fifth-generation public school educator, and teaching has always been a big part of my life. My mother spent more than 30 years as an elementary school librarian in Llewellyn and at the Elementary Center. I can still remember going in with her during the summer, helping set up the library, putting together bulletin boards, and getting everything ready for the start of the school year. She truly cared about her students and the people she worked with.
That same care and commitment is what I see every day from our faculty and staff here in Minersville. The time they put in planning lessons, grading, and supporting students goes far beyond the school day, and it makes a real difference.
I’m proud to lead a district filled with dedicated educators. Thank you for all you do to make the Minersville Area School District such a great place for our students.

Good evening, Minersville Area families,

I want to recognize our students for the effort they showed as they began the PSSA assessments. This marks the first year the tests are fully online, and students came in ready to demonstrate what they’ve learned.

Around 8:30 a.m., a technical issue with DRC INSIGHT, the testing platform, interrupted the process. Our students stayed focused, followed directions from our staff, and completed the exam once the issue was resolved.

We have since received confirmation from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and DRC that the problem has been corrected.

We appreciate our students for coming prepared each day and taking the assessments seriously. Breakfast will be available all week, and students are encouraged to grab something to eat before testing begins.
