💙 Thank You for Supporting the Ram Care Closet! 💙

A big thank you to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for their generous donation to the Ram Care Closet at Mineral Wells High School!

They donated several boxes of hygiene items to the MWHS Interact Club to help keep the closet stocked for our students.

The Catholic Daughters have supported this program for several years, and we are so thankful for their continued generosity and commitment to our students. ❤️

The Ram Care Closet, located near the counselor’s office, provides hygiene and personal care items to any MWHS student who needs them.

It operates on the honor system, so students can simply stop by and take the items they need—no questions asked.

Thank you to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for helping us continue to take care of our Rams! 🐏❤️

🇺🇸 More Than Flags... A Community Making a Difference!!

There’s nothing quite like seeing American flags waving all across Mineral Wells on the Fourth of July. This year, 331 flags will proudly fly thanks to the incredible support of our community. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

💙❤️ To everyone who sponsors a flag, volunteers their time, and supports this program—thank you. Because of you, we're able to invest back into our community through local nonprofit groups, senior scholarships, youth programs, and Rotary service projects.

🎉 We are also excited to welcome 3️⃣1️⃣ new flag subscribers this year. We're so glad you're part of the Flags Across Mineral Wells family!

🇺🇸 Want to join us? For just $50 a year, you will receive six patriotic flag displays at your home or business (within the Mineral Wells city limits).

So excited! 🎉 We just dropped off Jurnnie, an amazing Mineral Wells High School student, as she begins her RYLA Camp experience at Texas Women’s University in Denton!

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is an incredible leadership camp where students grow as leaders, build confidence, serve others, and create lifelong friendships with students from across the region.

Jurnnie has already met a wonderful group of new friends, and the excitement is contagious! We know this week will be filled with unforgettable experiences, meaningful connections, and opportunities to grow.

We couldn’t be prouder to see her representing Mineral Wells High School and the Mineral Wells community, and we know she’ll leave a positive impact on everyone she meets.

We can’t wait to hear about all the memories, friendships, and leadership lessons she brings home. Have an amazing week, Jurnnie—we’re all cheering you on! 💙💛

The Mineral Wells High School Interact Club is proud to serve our community in a big (and patriotic!) way each year 🇺🇸

Our students place and pick up American flags for six patriotic holidays throughout the year — honoring our country while raising funds to support meaningful projects right here at MWHS.

Because of their hard work maintaining the route and serving faithfully each holiday, we were honored to receive a $1,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Mineral Wells.

Funds raised through the flag program help us:
❤️ Stock our Hygiene Closet for students in need
🎓 Provide scholarships
🎀 Purchase Senior Ribbons for graduating Interact members

This program is a true example of Service Above Self in action.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Mineral Wells for your continued support, and thank you to our dedicated Interact members who show up early, work hard, and make this happen year after year. We couldn’t do it without you!

Every month, our MWHS Interact Club looks forward to learning from leaders who are making a difference — and February’s guest felt especially meaningful because he’s helping shape the story of our own hometown. ❤️

We were so grateful to welcome Chef Stefon Rishel, executive chef at The Crazy Water Hotel - 2nd & Oak (Oak & Third), to share his journey in the culinary world and how that path led him right here to Mineral Wells.

Chef Rishel didn’t just talk about cooking — he talked about passion, risk, hard work, and vision.

He shared:
🍽️ What it really takes to succeed in the culinary industry
🏆 The experiences and accolades that shaped his career
🌆 Why he believes in the future of Mineral Wells
✨ How he was recruited to bring his talents to our community
🔮 His hopes and plans for the restaurant moving forward

Our students asked great questions and walked away with more than career insight — they gained perspective on leadership, perseverance, and taking pride in your craft.

Thank you, Chef Rishel, for pouring into our students and investing in the next generation right here at MWHS. That’s what community is all about. ❤️

Thank you, Zach Balch! 🌟 Visit Mineral Wells

A big thank-you to Zach Balch, Tourism Director for Mineral Wells, for an engaging and inspiring presentation at our January Interact Club meeting!

Our students loved hearing about all the exciting things happening in Mineral Wells, how to find your niche and lean into what you’re good at, and why our community is already on the map.

Zach also shared a powerful message about lifting each other up and choosing to focus on the positives—at work, at school, and among friends.

Thank you for motivating the next generation and for your passion for our community! ❤️🖤

Also shoutout to Jennifer Rodriguez with Moonscato Design, LLC for donating 2 gift cards for giveaways during the meeting!

💬 Thank You, Mr. Weeks! 💙💛

A huge THANK YOU to Jason Weeks, City Manager of Mineral Wells, for speaking to our Interact Club today! 🙌

Students enjoyed hearing the latest city updates — from the updated logo to exciting projects on the horizon — and learning about the importance of servant leadership in our community.

As both a Rotarian and the proud parent of a former Interact student, Mr. Weeks reminded us that community service and civic engagement go hand in hand. 🌟

To show our appreciation, Interact President Cruz Rodriguez presented Mr. Weeks with a few Ram gifts — a MW clipboard, car sticker, and Ram cup — as a small token of thanks for his time and continued support of our students. 🐏❤️

Thank you for sharing your heart for service and your love for Mineral Wells with us!

Our Interact members are already putting service into action — they’ll be volunteering this week at the Crazy Water Festival!

Wow. Truly wow. Over 50 students came to our very first Interact Club meeting of the year, and our hearts are so full. 💙

To see this many young people in our community choose to spend their time learning how to serve others is something special. Each one of them walked in with excitement, ready to be part of something bigger than themselves.

We are so proud of these students and so thankful to be part of a community that raises kids who want to give back. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see all the good they will do. 💫
