The Mineral Wells High School Interact Club is proud to serve our community in a big (and patriotic!) way each year 🇺🇸

Our students place and pick up American flags for six patriotic holidays throughout the year — honoring our country while raising funds to support meaningful projects right here at MWHS.

Because of their hard work maintaining the route and serving faithfully each holiday, we were honored to receive a $1,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Mineral Wells.

Funds raised through the flag program help us:
❤️ Stock our Hygiene Closet for students in need
🎓 Provide scholarships
🎀 Purchase Senior Ribbons for graduating Interact members

This program is a true example of Service Above Self in action.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Mineral Wells for your continued support, and thank you to our dedicated Interact members who show up early, work hard, and make this happen year after year. We couldn’t do it without you!

Every month, our MWHS Interact Club looks forward to learning from leaders who are making a difference — and February’s guest felt especially meaningful because he’s helping shape the story of our own hometown. ❤️

We were so grateful to welcome Chef Stefon Rishel, executive chef at The Crazy Water Hotel - 2nd & Oak (Oak & Third), to share his journey in the culinary world and how that path led him right here to Mineral Wells.

Chef Rishel didn’t just talk about cooking — he talked about passion, risk, hard work, and vision.

He shared:
🍽️ What it really takes to succeed in the culinary industry
🏆 The experiences and accolades that shaped his career
🌆 Why he believes in the future of Mineral Wells
✨ How he was recruited to bring his talents to our community
🔮 His hopes and plans for the restaurant moving forward

Our students asked great questions and walked away with more than career insight — they gained perspective on leadership, perseverance, and taking pride in your craft.

Last night, March 3rd, the Rotary Club of Mineral Wells hosted its annual 4-Way Speech Contest, and we could not be prouder of these outstanding Palo Pinto County students! 🎤✨

Representing Mineral Wells ISD were:
• Kassie Christenson
• Iana Echanique
• Eli Wagoner
• Emma Wagoner

And representing Graford ISD:
• Breanna Morgan

These five students did an incredible job demonstrating confidence, character, and leadership while speaking on Rotary’s Four-Way Test.

Thank you, Zach Balch! 🌟 Visit Mineral Wells

A big thank-you to Zach Balch, Tourism Director for Mineral Wells, for an engaging and inspiring presentation at our January Interact Club meeting!

Our students loved hearing about all the exciting things happening in Mineral Wells, how to find your niche and lean into what you’re good at, and why our community is already on the map.

Zach also shared a powerful message about lifting each other up and choosing to focus on the positives—at work, at school, and among friends.

Thank you for motivating the next generation and for your passion for our community! ❤️🖤

The Mineral Wells High School MWHS Interact Club wrapping party for Tommy’s Angel Tree was a huge success!

A big thank-you to Connie Parker and her amazing team for having everything ready for our 43 Interact students — and wow, did they shine! These students are respectful, energetic, and passionate about serving our community.

And did we mention… they’re also running a food drive for the Mineral Wells Center of Life at the same time? This group truly embodies service above self! ❤️✨

A huge THANK YOU to Jason Weeks, City Manager of Mineral Wells, for speaking to our Interact Club today! 🙌

Students enjoyed hearing the latest city updates — from the updated logo to exciting projects on the horizon — and learning about the importance of servant leadership in our community.

As both a Rotarian and the proud parent of a former Interact student, Mr. Weeks reminded us that community service and civic engagement go hand in hand. 🌟

To show our appreciation, Interact President Cruz Rodriguez presented Mr. Weeks with a few Ram gifts — a MW clipboard, car sticker, and Ram cup — as a small token of thanks for his time and continued support of our students. 🐏❤️

Thank you for sharing your heart for service and your love for Mineral Wells with us!

Our Interact members are already putting service into action — they’ll be volunteering this week at the Crazy Water Festival!

Wow. Truly wow. Over 50 students came to our very first Interact Club meeting of the year, and our hearts are so full. 💙

To see this many young people in our community choose to spend their time learning how to serve others is something special. Each one of them walked in with excitement, ready to be part of something bigger than themselves.

We are so proud of these students and so thankful to be part of a community that raises kids who want to give back. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see all the good they will do. 💫

🌟 RYLA 2025 is officially underway! 🌟

Mineral Wells High School is proud to have sent two of our very best — Mia and Audrey — to represent us at this year’s Rotary Youth Leadership Awards in Denton, Texas at TWU! 💪🎉

This incredible camp is all about building leadership, confidence, and lifelong friendships. From team-building challenges to inspiring guest speakers and service projects, RYLA offers an unforgettable experience that empowers young leaders to make a difference.

We’re so excited for you both, Mia and Audrey — can’t wait to hear all about your journey! 💛💙

💙🤝 MWHS Interact Club – Final Service Project of the Year! 🤝💙

Our amazing Interact Club wrapped up the school year by giving back to Mineral Wells Center of Life where they worked alongside Amy in the food pantry—reorganizing donations and packing supplemental food bags for their unhoused clients. 🥫🎒

This has been an incredible year of service, with over 30 students joining the club and making a lasting impact in our school and community! 🌟

Here’s a look at what these outstanding student leaders accomplished this year:

✅ Volunteered at Veterans Day
✅ Participated in the Rotary Flag Program
✅ Helped with Tommy’s Angel Tree
✅Volunterred at the Ram Expo
✅Stocked the Ram Care Closet
✅ Supported cyclists at the Crazy Kicker Bike Race Twice 🚴‍♂️💦
✅ Competed in the Rotary 4-Way Speech Contest for scholarship opportunities 🎤🎓
✅ Provided a Hot Chocolate Bar & brownies for MWHS staff as a special treat during the winter months ☕🍫
✅ And gave countless personal hours of community service!

After completing their final project, students got to shop in The Center’s Thrift Store, each choosing an item to support the cause 💚—then headed to Taqueria La Estrella to celebrate and recognize two more seniors who earned their Interact graduation ribbons! 🎓🎉

✨ Bonus: One student even landed a job interview from Adrian at the restaurant during lunch! 🙌

We couldn’t be more proud of this amazing group and all they’ve accomplished this year. We’re already looking forward to another year of service, leadership, and RamFam pride in 2025-26!
