Remote or in-person? The right deposition format depends on the needs of the case.

In-person depositions offer face-to-face interaction, hands-on access to exhibits, and the ability to have everyone together in the same room.

Remote depositions offer greater flexibility, easier scheduling, and the ability for attorneys, witnesses, and other participants to join from different locations.

Each format has its advantages. The important part is choosing the option that works best for the proceeding while maintaining the same priority: a clear, accurate record.

At Rich Moffett Court Reporting, we coordinate both in-person and remote depositions to meet the needs of attorneys and their clients.

Here’s a quick look at what happens after a deposition.

Behind the Record 🎙️

Did you know court reporters build their own personal dictionaries over time?

Names, medical terminology, technical language, industry-specific terms, and commonly used phrases can all become part of a reporter’s dictionary, helping turn stenographic notes into an accurate, readable transcript.

It’s one of the many tools developed through experience that helps court reporters create a clear and reliable record.
