It’s not every day that something like this arrives.

This week, a 1,300-pound marble statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus made its journey from upstate New York to Mineola, where it was carefully lifted by crane into place on our front steps.

A special shoutout to Shadow Transport for handling the job with such precision. Take a look behind the scenes at this memorable day, and stay tuned for the finished project!

Congratulations to Henry Broidy ’27, recipient of the 2026 Linda Rie Cohen Rising Star Award from East End Arts!

Henry was selected by an independent committee from more than 40 applicants for the prestigious $10,000 merit award recognizing an exceptional local young artist. He will be honored at the East End Arts Summer Soirée this weekend, where he will join past Rising Star Award recipients for a special performance celebrating the legacy of Frederic Cohen and his extraordinary commitment to the arts.

Honoring the vision of those who came before us. Building for the generations who will follow.

Since its purchase in 1977, Thomas Field has been part of the Chaminade experience for thousands of Flyers. Today, nearly 50 years later, we begin its next chapter.

This morning, the Varsity Football Team was the first to step onto the newly turfed Thomas Field. Chaplain Fr. Peter Heiskell, S.M. '86, joined the team to dedicate and bless the field and all those who will use it in the years ahead.

Now let's get after it, Flyers!

Twenty-five years after 9/11, we remember those lost, honor those who served, and reflect on the threats and responsibilities that remain.

On September 1, CNN's John Miller, Gen. Peter Pace, USMC (Ret.), and Colin P. Clarke ’98 will join us for "25 Years After 9/11: Memory. Responsibility. Reflection. Readiness." at The Metropolitan Club in New York City.

This summer the main locker room underwent a major transformation, creating a first-class space for student-athletes as they prepare to represent Chaminade.

The classroom is getting bigger. Through new opportunities like AP Research and global learning with the Noro Portal, students are taking their education beyond traditional boundaries.

AP Research builds the research and presentation skills that are essential for success in college, while the Noro Portal allows students to connect face-to-face with people and perspectives across the globe.

It’s all part of how we continue to challenge students to think deeply, communicate confidently, and see the world from a wider perspective.
