Excited to receive a beautiful Yamaha grand piano on loan for a year!!! Our lucky students will now have 2 acoustic Yamaha grand pianos as well as 3 Yamaha Avant Grands to practice and learn on!!! We are so grateful to Theresa Kim, director of International Music Sessions (www.imusicsessions.org) for arranging this opportunity to have another piano visit us for a full year!!! 🎹😍🎉😊

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all our Students, Parents and Teachers!!! We started the year off a little chillier then we hoped, with our heating unit breaking and thank everyone for their patience as we get things fixed. Music School of New York City is thrilled to open its doors in Mineola, NY at 234 Jericho Turnpike. The school blends old-world values and classical traditions, with an innovative teaching style designed for children of the twenty-first century. Throughout her extensive teaching career for over 15 years, owner Natalia Lavrova, an international concert pianist, who started her training in her hometown of Moscow, Russia and has roots in the Russian Piano School as well two degrees from the famed Juilliard School, has always wanted to bring top NYC talent and prestigious faculty to the families of Long Island. Six years after the school’s inception in New York City, Music School of New York City is expanding and offering an opportunity to receive conservatory level training at any age or level of study here in Long Island. Unlike the more rigorous pre-college programs of NYC, where grueling auditions are required, the new Mineola school accepts all students who are able to commit to at least a 30-minute weekly private lesson on their instrument of choice and allot at least 15 minutes of daily practice if they are a total beginner.
