I’m sorting through the wiring on our new-to-us Zenith 601. Always a treat when the builder didn’t provide documentation, or the documentation has gone missing. Unfortunately, it’s the only way to know how the thing works.

I can do this for about an hour, then I go cross-eyed and go back to the engine installation - something easier to understand.

Here are the wires and here’s the engine.

PopPop Cagle (Duane) bought Shelley’s project 150. K&S did some work on it but didn’t have the time to complete it. Duane finished it. He does great work and we had a flawless test flight. The aircraft sat for roughly 15 years. We did a THOROUGH annual, under Jamy’s close supervision. It paid off.

position the engine on the Zenith today. I’ll take it.

I’m not smart enough to post the actual facebook link, but here’s the executive summary:

Airplane sat for 25 years, had an annual, then had an engine failure from fuel starvation. Insects in the fuel vent.
