Our culinary students had a busy week last week preparing King Cakes for Minden high’s prom! This was a great opportunity for our students be part of this event. Students not only had to prepare and package the cakes but also figure up food costing and how much of each ingredient they would need. Great job!

They must pass a written test and skills test in order to receive their CPR card.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Our culinary students took a break from ServSafe studies and had some fun in the kitchen. In honor of Mardi Gras season, students enjoyed making beignets, king cake cupcakes, king cakes and some jambalaya. They even shared their yummy treats with our CNA and Barber dept and our content coaches! Great job guys!

Our culinary students put on a show today for our 2nd annual Christmas luncheon! They have worked hard over this past semester learning about food safety, knife skills and various cooking techniques. They put what they have learned to the test today. They catered a Christmas lunch for our school board, superintendent, faculty, staff and their family. Thank you so much to each one of you who showed up today in support of our culinary students!
