I can't believe that summer is almost here. We can take a few more students in the July 11-14 class for the 38-hour course. Don't wait! The class will fill up quickly! You can register online at luckybrakedrivingacademy.com.

Remember students are required to get a temporary instruction permit from the DMV before they complete the class. You will need to make an appointment at expresslane.org for the DMV.

We still have a few spots left in the Teen classes for January, February and March of 2022. You can register online at luckybrakedrivingacademy.com or call the office and leave a message for someone to call you back to register. Don't forget that you will need to make an appointment online at expresslane.org to take your student to the DMV to get a Temporary Instruction Permit before their first day of class.

Due to Governor's Proclamations on 3.19.20, 3.22.20, 4.1.20 and 5.1.20 all Louisiana driving schools are STILL prohibited from having classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel instruction, and Road Skills Test until at least May 15, 2020. As most other businesses are opening up our industry is specifically listed on page 7 of the latest Proclamation as NOT being able to conduct business. We are however able to hold a "virtual classroom" and we are currently training and getting set up to do this for students that would like to participate and have the internet capabilities. However we are hoping and praying that we will be able to go back to regular classroom sessions with smaller classes after May 15. Due to all driving schools being considered a “non-essential business” at this time all person to person contact is prohibited which means no driving to finish the course or road skills test to upgrade to a license. At present, all Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles and Tag Agencies remain closed as well.
Thus, all classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel driver training, and Road Skills Test have been POSTPONED. As soon as this proclamation has been lifted, we will begin scheduling classroom instruction, driving, and Road Skills Tests.

May 27- 30
June 10, 11, 12 & 14

July 12, 13, 14 & 18

Dates for the 14 Hour Course:
May 16 (or 23 if needed)

July 11

**You can pay the $100 deposit online or by mail to secure a spot in any of the above mentioned classes.**
**Remember to get the Temporary Instruction Permit from the DMV when they open back up. You will need birth certificate, social security card, 2 proofs of address when you go.**

As of 9:30 last night, the Governor signed a Proclamation including driving schools. We will not be allowed to hold classes until April 13. We are allowed to drive with students and do Road Skills Test to upgrade from permit to license since that is one on one. I will be rescheduling the March 21 and April 5 classes and posting new dates soon. Stay home as much as possible and stay well!

Dates for the classes for students 18 and older are:

April 18
May 16
June 13
July 11
August 15

Don't forgot All students regardless of age are required to get a Temporary Instruction Permit from the DMV to be able to take the written test and the driving portion of the course.
