MHS Band parents we are in need of chaperones, pit crew helpers, and snacks for the rest of the marching season. Please check your email, Minden band booster page, or the school app for a message from me with the link.

I am also in need of a van driver for the trips to harvest of harmony and state marching. If you have done the safety course for the school that is a plus, but we can get it done if you are willing to help out.

You know you’ve got some dedicated members when they are rushing in from golf meets, cross country meets, and softball games to make it to the halftime show! Fantastic first performance tonight band. Can’t wait to get the whole show on the field.

The Minden Band received an anonymous donation this morning for $5,000!! This money was presented to us by the Minden Schools Foundation.

Incredibly thankful for whoever gave this money to our program. It will be put to great use to help our program continue to grow.

Get your Minden Band Apparel! This store closes at the end of the day Sunday, August 16th. Mark your order to be sent to the high school and I will get orders distributed. Anyone who wants items is welcome to order!

7-8th grade band members need a purple Minden Whippet Band Shirt for our parades.

9-12th grade band members will get a free t-shirt provided by our band boosters which will be done on your order forms I sent home. If you want other items, please use the link to order!

The 2026 MHS Band Camp was held last week. The students worked hard all week and kept improving with every run through. Their field show this year is titled “Backstage

Thanks to a classroom grant from the Minden Public Schools Foundation we were able to update some marching bass drum rims! These rims have seen better days and many of them were completely cracked after a few decades of use.

Add in some funds from our yearly band budget to upgrade the drum heads and the middle school drumline will be looking and sounding fantastic!

The MHS band has been working their tails off the last few days!! Incredibly proud of the progress we have made so far on our field show and parade routines.

Year 6 leading this program and by far my favorite part is the fact that the quality of individuals we have in the band continues to be amazing. We have added a lot to our numbers (59 currently) and they are all high quality human beings. Thanks for letting me lead you all.
