The Millage renewal supports opportunities that keep students active, engaged, and connected through elementary athletics. This is not a new tax.
Millage funding helps make Brevard Public Schools’ Elementary Sports Program possible, giving students in grades 3–6 the opportunity to participate in organized sports right at their neighborhood school with no fees, no tryouts, and no transportation barriers.
At Mims Elementary, elementary sports, including soccer, provide students with opportunities to build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and stay active through healthy competition and school pride.
Millage funding helps make these opportunities accessible to students across Brevard Public Schools.

Investing in the people who make our schools thrive.
80% of millage funding supports employee compensation for the teachers, support staff, and school employees who serve students every day.
From the classroom to the front office, cafeteria, transportation department, and beyond, these dedicated professionals play an important role in creating safe, supportive learning environments for students across Brevard County.
This is not a new tax. The millage is a renewal of an existing local funding source that helps support employee compensation and school operations throughout Brevard County.
By investing in the people who support our students, millage helps Brevard Public Schools continue attracting and retaining a strong workforce dedicated to student success.

Surtax funding strengthens school safety by providing the security tools schools rely on every day.
This is not a new tax. The Sales Surtax is a renewal of the existing half-cent sales tax that helps fund safe, maintained, and modern school facilities.
One example is the Raptor Badge Alert system. Funded by the Surtax, the system is designed to enhance student and staff safety by providing a faster emergency response when assistance is needed.
Tools like Raptor help schools communicate quickly and make it possible to respond rapidly in an emergency. When these safety systems are in place, students and staff can feel confident walking through the doors each morning.
Sales Surtax ensures Brevard Public Schools can continue investing in protective measures that help keep every school a safe and welcoming place for students to learn.

The Sales Surtax renewal helps keep classrooms connected, secure, and equipped. This is not a new tax.
Sales Surtax supports the critical, invisible backbone of school technology. These dollars pay for the essential systems that keep classrooms connected and secure, including network cabling, cybersecurity protections, wireless access points, and other infrastructure that students and teachers rely on every day.
At Mims Elementary, the technology infrastructure funded by the Sales Surtax helps keep every classroom connected and ready for learning.
Technology changes quickly, and the Sales Surtax ensures our schools can keep pace. When the infrastructure is strong, every classroom stays connected, teachers have reliable tools, and schools can operate efficiently.
Strong Schools. Strong Brevard.
