Job Description​:
Our business is growing and we are looking for one special person to join our SWIMBABES family. We are Oregon’s first swimming school having served Portland for almost 80 years. We are experts in teaching Swim Survival Safety for Infants and Toddlers. We are looking for a committed, fun, enthusiastic and professional person to join our team- one who is also passionate about small children learning life saving water skills. We are people who love kids and love teaching kids to be safe in the water.
A successful candidate will possess a broad range of skills including problem solving, relationship building, and high attention to detail as

MUST HAVES:
Clear communication skills
Love working with kids and families
Be able to supervise all aspects of the office
A great organizer
Certified Pool Operator License or Pool Chemistry Basics Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Be able to handle inventory supplies
Be able to take direction and be open to new ways of doing things Have excellent customer service skills
Have excellent organizational skills
Able to take control in a busy office
Prior office experience or management.
Be able to lift 35-40lbs and move pool mats
Reliable
A genuine love of children
Available for occasional weekend work
Education and Licensing
Min age 21
High School Diploma or equivalent
CPR and First Aid certified (required upon hiring)
Certified Pool Operator certified (CPO) * or Pool Chemistry Basics Course
(or willing to obtain upon hire* reimbursement available*)
Proficient with computer, email and systems
Knowledgeable or is capable of learning the scheduling system at SWIMBABES Office experience or management experience
Contract Required
Background check required

Some of the responsibilities include:
Ensure office adheres to SWIMBABES core values and standards
Respond to emails and voicemails from program participants
Register and onboard new and existing families
Respond to questions or problems that arise related to registration, billing, cancellations and credits.
Prepare and maintain accurate pool chemistry log sheets New customer orientations
Supply tracking and ordering
Scheduling
Greeting Families
Open and Close
Office organization
Ability to work with assigned team members in a seamless fashion Facility and client safety
Program facilitation
Setting up deck and facility to open
Hours:
M-Th 8am-4pm
Fr 8am-2pm
Must be willing and able to take on Fridays until 4pm when assigned as well as a very occasional weekend shift. (make up days)
(36-38 hours per week)
Quarterly days off
Seasonal: Mid Jan-Nov yearly
Compensation
$15.75-17.00/ hr (depending on certifications)
* option to take pay in 10 months or 12 month payments Health Stipend

this is a wonderful memory from May 1995 when we traveled with Madame Shubach to Paris and were able to spend time in the Great Notre Dame Cathedral and the children were hosted by a school in her home village of Villneur Sallot
