Join us Saturday, September 12th from 10 AM–6 PM for a HUGE community rummage sale featuring donations from families of The Treehouse: a Forest Garden School which means there is TONS of great stuff to browse!

100% of the proceeds will go toward our fundraising goal to expand The Treehouse’s outdoor classroom for children ages 0–3. Every purchase helps us get closer to creating additional outdoor space designed specifically for our youngest Treehouse children.

At the start of each school year, we dive deep into singing, journaling, study, reflection, and connection for an entire week.

This time is about more than preparing curriculum and completing tasks; it’s about preparing ourselves. We are committed to showing up as whole, grounded human beings, because that’s what children need most.

Before children need us to teach them, they need us to model what it means to be a healthy, connected human being. We understand that our presence, our relationships, and the way we move through the world all become part of what children experience and learn.

This is how we create the magic of The Treehouse: a safe haven where children are surrounded by healthy and whole nurturers dedicated to helping children learn and grow.

Saving seeds is one of our favorite yearly traditions in the garden.

As the seasons change, we gather seeds from the plants we’ve cared for all year long. From beans and calendula to sunflowers, herbs, and even dandelions. Each tiny seed becomes a special treasure in a child’s hands.

Seed saving gives children opportunities to practice fine motor skills, observation, patience, responsibility, and early science while experiencing the beautiful cycle of life firsthand.

Even though we spend most of our time in our Outdoor Classroom, when we do come in it’s such sweet magic. Last week was not easy with the air quality being so bad here in Oregon, and we had to spend DAYS inside. What happens when you take a group of boisterous forest children inside? We have to walk gently, talk softly, and play quietly and through the genius work of our Teachers the children get deep into meditative imaginative play. We not only have a glorious Forest Garden Outdoor Classroom, but we have our cozy indoor schoolhouse for times like these. Beauty and magic, inside and out.
