En la Escuela Primaria Lot Whitcomb, celebramos con orgullo el Día de los Héroes del Almuerzo Escolar y a los increíbles profesionales de la nutrición que mantienen a nuestros estudiantes bien alimentados, llenos de energía y listos para aprender, día tras día.

There was music in the air as our 4th and 5th graders gathered for a special visit from Rowe Middle School’s Band, Orchestra, and Choir! 🎶

These middle school musicians talked about what makes the BOC program so meaningful to them, from the joy of making music together to the friendships they’ve built along the way.

For our 5th graders, it couldn’t have come at a better time. As they begin thinking about next year’s classes, they were encouraged to take a chance, try a new instrument, and discover where music might take them. 🎺🎻🎤

Today was such a special Lunch Buddy day! Families were invited to join their students at school and enjoy a meal together. It was wonderful to see so many smiles around the lunch tables!

📅 Our next Lunch Buddy afternoon will be on February 27th — we hope to see you there!

Some special adults joined our students for lunch today! Today was the first of three Lunch Buddy afternoons happening in December, where families are invited to enjoy a meal at school with their student. Our next Lunch Buddy days are December 12 and December 19, hope to see you there!

Students in our kindergarten and first grade Dual Language Immersion classrooms decorated beautiful Día de los Mu***os altars! Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) is a time for families and friends to come together to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away. For this project, students paid tribute to well-known figures who are no longer with us.

And to make the day even better — it was Cozy Day, so everyone stayed comfy while creating!
