A week exploring the element of fire at Summer Camp🔥
From flame-inspired art and turmeric anthotypes to building safe campfires, creating secret wish fire starters, and learning from the Clackamas Fire Department, each day brought new discoveries. Campers worked together to build and paint a paper maché volcano, celebrated birthdays with a colorful eruption, and collaborated on a mural that grew a little more each morning. 🌋✨

Once a Waldorf student, always part of the Portland Waldorf community. 🤍
We can’t wait to welcome our alumni back to campus this Saturday, July 18, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM for an afternoon of reconnecting, reminiscing, and celebrating the shared experiences that make PWS so special.
One of the greatest gifts of this gathering is seeing the many paths our alumni have taken and hearing how their time at Portland Waldorf continues to shape who they are and the work they bring to the world.
If you’re a PWS alum, we’d love to welcome you back. Click the link in our bio or email [email protected] to let us know you’ll be joining us.
We can’t wait to see you!💫

• Honors College at Oregon State University
• Seton Hall University
• Lewis & Clark College

• University of Portland
• Two graduates are taking gap years to pursue meaningful work, exploration, and future goals.
Our graduates were also accepted to many colleges and universities across the U.S. and abroad, including:
• Brown University
• University of Chicago
• Tufts University
• McGill University
• Reed College
• Brandeis University

Walk-a-thon 👟✨ One of our favorite end-of-the-school-year traditions!
Each year during the final week of school, our students come together for a day filled with movement, music, & lots of encouragement as they walk and run laps around campus.
The Walk-a-thon is an important fundraiser that supports PWS, and it’s always inspiring to see our students celebrate every lap together.
Thank you to everyone who sponsored our students and helped make this a success. Your support makes a difference, and we’re grateful to have such an incredible community behind our school! 💚🫧

✨ Senior Work: Class of 2026 ✨
As part of their History of Architecture block, our seniors are exploring the idea of place by reflecting on locations that have shaped them and uncovering what gives those places meaning.
Through writing, observation, and annotated drawings, students analyze the qualities that make a place memorable: the light, colors, sounds, textures, rhythms, and experiences woven into it. The result is a personal study of how our environments help shape who we become.
At this stage of their journey, as they prepare to graduate and step into the wider world, this work mirrors an important inner process: looking back, making meaning of their experiences, and recognizing the people and places that have helped form their sense of self.

Bravo to our 8th graders, who performed their class play, Momo, this morning!
Directed by Mr. Schneider, who has guided this class since 1st grade, the play reflected the deep connection formed over eight years together.
A yearly Waldorf tradition, the class play honors not only what students have learned, but who they’ve become. We’re so proud of this group and grateful to everyone who helped bring the production to life. ✨
