Congratulations to our 10th Annual Green & Healthy Schools Conference Award Winners!

Conference attendees cast their votes for winners across seven award categories, helping recognize the growing and diverse support for Green & Healthy Schools throughout Milwaukee. This year’s award winners represent the passion, commitment, and heart behind this work:

Green Student of the Year: Breasia Hall (Teens Grow Greens)

Green Educator of the Year: Glorimar Melendez (Forest Home Avenue School)

Green Principal of the Year: Tyrone Nichols (Cass Street School)

Most Engaged School Green Team: Trowbridge School of Great Lakes Studies

A special shoutout to Reflo's Workshop Manager, Tyann, who handcrafted this year’s beautiful awards using a mixture of wood species and laser engraving to create custom pieces celebrating each winner.

The 10th Annual Green and Healthy Schools Conference was filled with engaging sessions, hands-on activities, and meaningful networking opportunities that strengthened and advanced the Green & Healthy Schools community! 🌱 Nearly 500 educators, young adults, community organizations, nonprofits, exhibitors, and community members came together for 21 engaging sessions, hands-on activities, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to explore the beautiful green schoolyard at Morse Middle School for the Gifted and Talented.

This track features three youth-centered sessions that explore environmental leadership, advocacy, and the connections between personal well-being and the natural world.
