We're proud to celebrate We Energies as the latest recipient of the Wisconsin's Technical Colleges Futuremaker Partner Award! The award recognizes local businesses and organizations statewide for their partnerships with Wisconsin’s technical colleges.

We Energies continues to invest in MATC students and our region’s workforce, helping expand our Electrical Power Distribution program through the establishment of a training facility in Milwaukee’s Metcalfe Park neighborhood and pledging more than $200,000 to MATC’s Checota Scholarship programs. From administrative assistant to executive leadership—what a journey! 🌟

We were honored to host MATC Foundation Board Member Laila Valters on campus yesterday! She shared her inspiring career path from starting in administrative support roles all the way to reaching the C-suite with MATC's Community of Administrative Professionals and Emerging Leaders.

"When I was going to MATC, my thought was to never stand still. I always want to grow and learn."

After personal tragedy changed the course of her life, Danielle Rodriguez came to MATC to earn her HSED, build college credits and continue pursuing her goals. Today, she leads the City of Milwaukee’s Department of Administration.
