Hi All,

As we had said at the beginning of the semester, we're trying to endorse/create more events for partners to attend! The below is one of those.

---

This Thursday, April 2nd from 10am-8pm the Milwaukee Art Museum is free. Partners can attend at any time, but we will be gathering a large group of Conversation Partners at 6PM at the front steps of the Union to take the Gold Line to the Milwaukee Art Museum. The Gold Line departs Maryland and Kenwood at 6:15PM.

At the Art Museum, Partners are encourage to join in our "picture" contest. Winners will be featured on our page as "Best Of". There are four categories of pictures to take:

1. Group Picture
This category only requires you to be as creative as you can in creating a group picture while at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Use the bridge to make a cool perspective, do it from the loop-stairs... Do something cool!

2. Mimic the Art
Take a picture with your partner/group mimicking a piece of art at the museum.
(Example: http://i.huffpost.com/gen/859432/images/o-FUNNY-MUSEUM-PHOTOS-facebook.jpg)

3. Caption
Create the funniest Caption possible for a picture.

4. The Most Confusing Art
Find an odd piece of art? Show us your confused expression and take a picture.

We hope to see you there- as always, stay warm! (Winter apparently doesn't want to end. :[ )

Thanks,

Jesse

Salutations!

As some of you may know, the Conversation Partners program is over 30 years old... but it wasn't until this year that it became sponsored student organization! Cool, right? In terms of numbers we've seen as much as 300 students signing up to participate each semester.

So as you can guess, I'm here to ask you all to join this semester. You can register here: http://www4.uwm.edu/esl/activities.cfm

But why? I know a lot of you are interested in travel, learning about new cultures, and just widening your international network of friends. This is a perfect opportunity to do so in a non-awkward fashion, once a week for an hour!

Hello Everybody!

The CONVERSATION PARTNERS PROGRAM now is an official student organization!

In order to celebrate it, we are recording partners’ experiences throughout their participation on the program! Here is our first video.

Felipe Melo and Austin Krogh had the chance to talk about their experience as being conversation partners. Check it out!

If you're interested in creating a video about your experiences, please message us! We can help organize a videographer & editor. Share your experiences!

Milwaukee Film Film can entertain, educate, and empower. It can bring change on levels both intimate and epic. And it's at its best as a communal viewing experience, with the best possible sound and projection.
