After a night of auditions, and a full day of call backs, this is us waiting for the cast list of The Lion King Jr. to be posted! ;)
But in all seriousness, as we wait, let us do some important work and wait well. "Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him." Psalm 62:5
No matter how you feel after auditions and callbacks, and there can be a wide range of emotions, spend some time asking God to help you with those emotions, remembering to thank Him for this incredible community and the ability to do theater and have fun in this way. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6-7
For the next few hours, please lift up the directing team as they make decisions and try to discern where God wants each cast member. That is not an easy task, especially when confronted with such talent and when they love these kids so much!
"Dear Lord, thank you for CYT Milwaukee, the families that are a part of this community and the people who work to keep this running. Thank you for allowing us to create fun and beautiful theater, and do it to glorify you! As we wait for the cast list, please turn each of our hearts to you. Help us see clearly what matters, and release everything else to you. Provide comfort for any anxiety, fear, and sadness, and allow us to speak life to those around us. Please provide clear direction to the directing team as they deliberate. Show them precisely where you want each student placed, for your purposes. And through the next 8 weeks, allow each person who touches this show to be changed and made better because of it. We trust you with every part, and give glory to you in and through it! We love you!"
