Last week the Winter Pottery Class came to an end. Many new projects and many new friends were made! I am so incredibly proud of these amazing young artists. They did such a fantastic job and we had such a fun time!

We had a fantastic time during Weeks 3 and 4 of the Pottery class! The kids are growing more confident with clay, and their creativity is truly inspiring. In Week 3, students glazed their monster and animal creations and began working on their themed Tic Tac Toe boards. By Week 4, they completed their Tic Tac Toe boards and started glazing their coil mugs. Take a look at the fun they had and their amazing creations!

Ever wonder how to create a very basic bowl with clay? The pinch pot is the most basic construction method used in handbuilding techniques! During the pottery class, students will learn how to use this method in the first sculpture they create! Anyone can learn to throw on the wheel!!! Within 30 minutes, this amazing 9-year old learned to center clay, pull walls, and finish not one, but two thrown cylinders!

Come join us for some HANDBUILDING clay projects in our first 6-week pottery class this September! Who knows, maybe soon we can offer some throwing classes too!

Wow, I can’t believe summer is coming to an end and many schools are beginning their first few days this week and within the upcoming weeks. As you start planning out the first few weeks of the school year, don’t forget to sign up for a fun-filled pottery class beginning September 14th. At The Traveling Artist Studio, I offer a variety of classes designed for children and adults alike. Whether you're looking for a 6-week course for your child, a much-needed date night, or a women's morning Bible study and painting session, I have something special just for you. My classes aim to foster a community where people from various backgrounds can come together to create, learn, and share their unique perspectives.

My passion for art and travel has taken me to over 35 countries, enriching my understanding of different cultures and inspiring me to bring those experiences into my teaching. With a degree in elementary education, art, and art education from Wisconsin Lutheran College, and years of experience teaching both in the U.S. and abroad, I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and love for art with you.
