95th Street School

95th Street School Welcome to the official page for Milwaukee Public Schools' 95th Street School. We have a strong School Governance Council as well as a very strong PTA.

Ninety-fifth Street School, located 1 1/2 miles northeast of Mayfair mall, offers a traditional school setting with a focus on individual student achievement. As an MPS GE Foundation Demonstration School, we focus on putting the rigorous Common Core State Standards into practice in innovative ways. Staff receive intense professional development focused on the Common Core. We are also recognized by

the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a PBIS School of Merit for implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and creating a positive school climate for our students. Our high expectations in all core subject areas are making a positive difference for our students’ academic achievement. Music, physical education and library media access adds diversity and value to our students’ educational experience. Parent volunteering is welcomed and supported with our open door policy.

Our staff have been working hard over the summer! Ms. Frahm, Ms. Ehlers, Ms. Hayes, Ms. Mutz, Ms. Corcoran, Ms. Schultz, Ms. Leesa, Ms. Pinto, and Mr. Russell attended a two day Instructional Summit to learn more about ways to engage students in math and literacy. Ms. Denofre and Ms. Kroll have been busy beautifying our grounds with amazing murals! Thank you to all our staff who took time during their summer vacation to grow their own professional practice, work our camp program, or make our school a beautiful place to be. We can't wait to welcome our students and families back to 95th Street School for what is sure to be another awesome school year!
