Our second grade scholars are learning how to tell time on analog clocks! β°π
This is an important developmental step because students are building their understanding of number sense, skip counting, sequencing, and how time moves in real life. As they practice reading the hour and minute hands, they are strengthening problem-solving skills and making connections between math and their daily routines.
We are so proud of their focus, perseverance, and growing confidence! π

Second grade knows how to play! βοΈππ
From climbing high to sliding fast and sharing big smiles with friends, our second graders are making the most of recess fun! Playtime helps our students build friendships, confidence, teamwork, and joyful memories every single day.
We love seeing our students learn, laugh, and grow together both inside and outside the classroom!

β¨ Learning through play in K5! β¨
Our K5 scholars participate in intentional play every day as part of their learning experience. At this age, play is not just fun β it is developmentally appropriate and an important part of how young children learn, grow, and make sense of the world around them.
Through intentional play, our K4 and K5 scholars build language skills, practice problem-solving, strengthen fine motor skills, use their imaginations, and learn how to collaborate with classmates. Whether they are pretending to be community helpers, building with blocks, creating stories, or exploring classroom materials, students are developing important academic, social, and emotional skills.
We intentionally set aside time each day for play because we know young learners thrive when they have opportunities to explore, create, communicate, and learn with joy. These moments help build confidence, independence, curiosity, and strong classroom relationships.
We are so proud of the way our youngest scholars learn, imagine, and grow each day! β€οΈ

This morning at Northwest Catholic School, we loved celebrating our students and the special people in their lives during our Muffins with MVPeeps event! π§π
Students had the opportunity to invite their very own βMVPβ to school to enjoy muffins, smiles, and quality time together. Families and special guests also created personalized picture frames and took photos together to keep as a special keepsake from the morning. πΈβ¨
Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, family members, and loved ones who joined us today. Events like these remind us how important strong family partnerships are in building a joyful and supportive school community. We are so grateful for our Northwest Catholic families! π

Our first graders are having so much fun counting down to the end of the school year by working their way through the alphabet! Today was all about the letter βF,β and our students created friendship bracelets to celebrate. π
As they designed and shared their bracelets, students practiced kindness, encouragement, and teamwork β all values we strive to nurture every day at Northwest Catholic. Activities like these help strengthen friendships while reminding our students the importance of faith, family, and treating others with love and respect.
We are so proud of the joy, creativity, and caring hearts our first graders bring to the classroom each day! β¨
