Highlights from the 82nd Annual Marquette NROTC Spring Ball 🎉

Special thanks to our guest of honor, LCDR Taicsich, and everyone who helped make this event possible!

On 16APR26, Marquette NROTC competed in the TRI-ROTC PT competition against Army and Air Force ROTC. This year, the competition consisted of a relay race, a 2-mile run, a plank, push-ups, tug-of-war, trivia, and the sprint-drag-carry. Good work to all our competitors—Go Navy, beat Army!

On 28MAR26, Marquette NROTC competed in the Buckeye Invitational Drill Competition at Ohio State University. Midshipmen competed in drill, ship handling, fitness, and knowledge events.

Marquette took home first-place trophies in platoon drill and the knowledge competition!

Great work to all of our competitors. 🎉

🎯On 28FEB26, Marquette NROTC traveled to Bear Arms Boutique Shooting Range for our semesterly shooting event. Midshipmen demonstrated an understanding of weapons safety rules and proficiency in weapons handling while practicing their marksmanship. 🎯

MIDN 1/C Neider selected the USS San Diego (LPD-22), homeported in Sasebo, Japan.

MIDN 1/C Rivera selected the USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51), homeported in Rota, Spain.

Every Friday during the academic semester, Midshipmen from Marquette NROTC head to Hamilton High School in Milwaukee to give back through after-school tutoring. By helping students with Algebra and other STEM subjects, they use the knowledge they’ve mastered at the college level to support academic growth, build confidence, and serve as mentors to those in our Milwaukee community.

On 17DEC25, Marquette University NROTC commissioned two Midshipmen as Ensigns in the United States Navy.

Congratulations to ENS Rule and ENS Nguyen on their commissioning. Throughout their training, they have demonstrated immense leadership and commitment to service. Good luck, shipmates, as you begin your careers as Naval Officers!
