Our students celebrated the Feast Day of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton today! Our patron saint motivates us in our mission and our work!
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is the patron saint of Catholic schools, educators and teachers, loss of parents, and widows.
This amazing woman founded the first American religious community for women, the Sisters of Charity. She opened the first American parish school and established the first American Catholic orphanage. She did all this in her short life span of 46 years (August 28, 1774–January 4, 1821) while raising her five children.
Here in Milwaukee, we carry on her spirit with the establishment of Seton Catholic Schools. Seton Catholic Schools provide exceptional Catholic educational opportunities in the classroom and in the community to empower students and positively impact their families and neighborhoods.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us!
