C.I.T.I.E.S. Project High School (CPHS) 2004-09 CITIES Project High School (CPHS) was a Non-Instrumentality Charter High School in Milwaukee, Wi from August of 2004 until June 2009.

CITIES Project High School was an innovative, project-based, interest-driven school with an individualized, integrated curriculum, and was guided by active community rebuilding. CITIES is an acronym for Communities Implementing Transformations In Education and Society. Students identified social issues they wished to address and created projects that demonstrated proficiency in the MPS Learning Ta

rgets, while addressing student concerns and interests. The primary focus of CPHS was to empower inner city youth through the development of advanced literacy and leadership as well as conceptual and organizational skills, by engaging them in meaningful and academically rigorous public works projects.
