Thank You, Christie Tirado !

As Cosechando Historias – Cultivating Histories comes to a close, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Christie Tirado for sharing her extraordinary work with Latino Arts and our community.

Through intricate laser-cut installations, hand-painted details, and powerful storytelling, Christie transformed our gallery into a space for reflection, connection, and conversation. Her work invited visitors to explore themes of memory, identity, labor, family, and cultural traditions in ways that were both deeply personal and universally resonant.

We are grateful for the creativity, care, and vision she brought to our gallery walls and for the opportunity to learn from her artistic journey.

Thank you, Christie, for helping us cultivate new conversations, honor shared histories, and inspire our community through art.

Please join us in thanking Christie for this remarkable exhibition.

to 2015 when Grupo Rebolú brought the vibrant sounds of Colombia's Caribbean coast to the Latino Arts stage!

Rooted in Afro-Colombian traditions, Rebolú's music is a celebration of the cultural influences that have shaped Colombia for generations, blending African rhythms, Indigenous traditions, and Spanish melodies. From the beat of the alegre drum to the sound of the gaita, a traditional flute crafted from cactus and beeswax, their performances honor the rich history and stories behind every note.

Fun fact: Rebolú members Morris Cañate and Erica "Kika" Parra helped create the rhythmic foundation for Disney's Encanto, bringing authentic Colombian sounds to the film's beloved soundtrack. Today, members of the group continue sharing those sounds with audiences around the world through the Encanto live concert experience.

We're grateful to have welcomed these incredible artists to our stage as part of our journey celebrating 40 years of arts, culture, and community.

Give them a listen at: "REBOLU" on Spotify and Apple Music!
