That sums it up: we had good times together. Don’t forget that. ❤️🎓
The Class of 2026 walked the stage at our Northwest, South High, and Southeast campuses for the final time, closing an important chapter in Carmen history.
These students helped shape the culture, traditions, and memories that define our network. While we say goodbye to familiar buildings and celebrate the end of an era, we do so with immense pride for the legacy our graduates leave behind and excitement for all that lies ahead.
As our graduates take their next steps, we’re also looking forward to welcoming our rising 9th graders from Carmen South Middle to Southgate as founding students of a new chapter in the Carmen story.
Enjoy these moments from graduation day, and thank you to the families, staff, and community members!

What happens when more than 750 future Carmen Southgate students come together before the first day of school? You get Southgate Rising.
This special experience, brought to life by our student ambassadors and Carmen leaders, welcomed future Southgate students to build connections, learn about school culture, participate in team-building activities, and start forming friendships that will carry into the new school year.
The excitement for Carmen Southgate is growing, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back in the fall. ❤️🐦🔥🔥

Congratulations to Carmen Northwest teacher, Dr. Justin Roby, on being named Educator of the Year!
This well-deserved honor recognizes Dr. Roby’s commitment to ensuring young people feel seen and valued. Through his leadership, mentorship, advocacy, and community-building efforts, he has positively impacted countless youth across Milwaukee, including at our Northwest campus, creating spaces of wellness, belonging and support.
We are grateful for Dr. Roby’s dedication to uplifting young people and strengthening our community. On campus, he leads 85 students with Ms. Lawrence and Mrs. Ponce de Leon, in programming for Black q***r culture and the campus GSA! Happy Carmen Day!
Students and staff across Carmen participated in Carmen Day, our annual network-wide day of service dedicated to giving back to the communities that pour so much into us. This special tradition places our students in organizations across Greater Milwaukee where they can lead through service, build connections, and make an impact.
This year, our students served at more than 20 organizations throughout the city, cleaning community gardens, leading literacy and art projects at local elementary schools, supporting land conservation efforts, and packing food for families in need. At Carmen, community engagement is central to who we are. It’s a core value that brings us together and empowers our students to shine through acts of service and leadership.
Our students and staff were hosted by , , , , , and to name a few!
To our many host organizations, thank you for allowing us to serve!

We made a few new furry friends today! 🐾
A huge thank you to for bringing these cute and cuddly pups to visit our Northwest campus for a special pet therapy experience. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we were grateful to welcome the Pets Helping People team to engage our students in important conversations surrounding teen mental health and wellness.
A special shoutout to Carmen Middle and High School of Science and Technology: Northwest Campus social worker Ms. Warren for organizing such an impactful experience for our students.
