The name was decided upon as a result of the landscape of the area. At the time, it was located at the corner of 57th and Hampton. The area was quite different than it is today; it was surrounded by farm fields, and many, many cedar trees. Cedar trees were used by Solomon in his temple; he imported these trees from Lebanon (1 Kings 5:6), and therefore, Lebanon was chosen as part of the name. As fo

Summer is here, and the reading list needs to grow.

What books are you picking up this summer? Whether it is a devotional, a page-turner, a classic you have been putting off, or something completely random, we want to know.

Drop your recommendation in the comments. Let's build a community reading list together.

Today we are thankful for those who pursuing full-time gospel ministry.

It is not an easy road, and it does not happen alone. Would you take a moment today to pray for those who are preparing to carry this Word into the world?

And this Sunday after church, come support them directly. We are hosting a Smash Burger Fundraiser to help cover the cost of their education. Come hungry and come ready to give.

Let it be my life's refrain
To live is Christ, to die is gain
Deny myself, take up my cross
And follow the Son

To what are you giving your life today?

There is nothing holding you together more firmly than the hands that made you, that hold you, and that were pierced for you.

Pastor Chris reminds us this week: "Your life is held by the hands that were pierced for you. You are loved and safe."

How are you today? "Fine." No, how are you really? Why is it that we struggle to share how we truly feel some days? Today, the apostle Peter reminds us that we cast our cares on God and each other as we take a deeper look at 1 Peter 5:6-11. May our God of all grace strengthen and restore you through our worship today.

We are a community for the community. We are working to share God's Word, to connect people to Jesus and to our caring, Christian community.

The same Jesus who stopped at a tax collector's booth and said follow me is the one Peter points to at the close of his letter.

Peter knew what it cost to follow—he had failed the call more than once. But the resurrection changed everything, and by the end of 1 Peter, he writes with the urgency of a man who has learned it firsthand: cast your cares, stand firm, the Chief Shepherd is faithful.

This Sunday we close out our Aftershocks series. We'd love to have you with us. 9:30 AM.

He commissions you in Matthew 28. He arms you in 1 Peter 4. The mystery of the Trinity isn’t meant to stay in the sanctuary — it’s meant to follow you out the door. See you Sunday.
