DG Tip: AI-Generated Graphics and Visuals

AI can be a useful starting point. But AI-generated designs introduce challenges that district communicators should understand before relying on them.

Common issues we see include text that's difficult to read, excessive content embedded inside graphics, insufficient color contrast for ADA compliance, cluttered layouts, and visuals that don't align with a district's brand.

Social media platforms are also increasingly flagging AI-generated content, which can affect reach and let viewers know the content wasn't created by your team.

The details matter. They shape how your community perceives the district—and in some cases, create real barriers for certain users.
