Ms. Mary's ABE class requires intensive 1-to-1 tutor support for each student. As you can see here, not everyone has that support. We're actively in search of empathetic individuals who are passionate about education, to volunteer their time to help these students.

A couple weeks ago we had a packed class for the BMO Harris Bank Financial Literacy class here at the ALC, where our students learned A LOT about credit.

This week marks the beginning of our spring semester. Here we have Mr Pao's full class, and smiling students ready to start a new chapter on their educational journeys. Yay!

The Adult Learning Center relies on donations to fund our GED programming and student support services. Just had a really cool Thanksgiving celebration here at the ALC; complete with prayers, music, poetry, a quiz and snacks. It truly is a family here. Students and tutors are hard at work over here in Ms. Mary's class right now. No matter how cold it is outside, they're determined to learn and get their GEDs.

Here we have one of our students, Morris, and service learner Melody, working together on an assignment in our ABE class. Service learners are students who come from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Marquette University to help tutor students through their classes.

We rely on our volunteers’ time to make sure that students get the 1-on-1 help that they need to obtain their GEDs. If you’d like to volunteer your time and help change the lives of our students in real ways, you can! Link in bio.
