This year’s Parents as Teachers International Conference mini plenaries will bring together nationally recognized leaders to explore the relationships, systems and lived experiences that shape outcomes for children and families.
Attendees will hear from:
Steve Zwolak, founder of beTOGETHERstl, on emotionally responsive practices and how supported adults create spaces where children and communities can thrive.
Michael Huesca, board chair of Paternal Opportunities Programs & Services, on father and family engagement, lived experience and transforming child welfare into a family well-being system.
Dr. R.J. Gillespie, pediatrician, researcher and co-author of The Trauma-Informed Pediatric Practice, on trauma, resilience and early relational health.
Leaders from Parents as Teachers, SafeCare, HIPPY and the National Alliance of Home Visiting Models on how cross-model collaboration can improve access, continuity of care and support for families.
These sessions will offer research, real-world experience and practical strategies attendees can bring back to their programs and communities.
