Rising 2L Morgan spent her summer at the LEC led by Professor Hammons. LEC provides law students with the opportunity to help real clients in need of legal business services including drafting contracts, business entity selection and formation, and corporate governance!

Happy Fieldwork Friday! Josef, a rising 2L, clerked with the Eau Claire Circuit Court with Judge Manydeeds this summer. This clerkship allowed him to work on a variety of civil and criminal matters.

Rising 2L, Stephanie, spent her summer at the Milwaukee County Economic & Development Division assisting small businesses with various real estate matters, including public policy implications in economic development.

Did you know Marquette Law places students in fieldworks for credit during the summer? There is a wide variety of placements, both in the public and private sector. For example, Kalen is a rising 2L working at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards this summer in Madison!

Aidan Frazier, 2L, worked in-house at his alma mater, University of Wisconsin, in the General Counsel office. His work ranged from real estate, employment, athletics, and compliance.

Annie Tate, 2L, has gained foundational experience working alongside Judge Kegel, including how good judging is imperative in the court system because of the impact it has on society.

As an intern, Haviland Soto, 2L, has gained invaluable insight into the federal criminal justice system at the Federal Defender's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

As a 2L, Elizabeth spent her spring semester at the Wisconsin Public Defender's Youth and Mental Health Division, where she built practical skills by working with juveniles and engaging in real court proceedings.

Last week, the Student Bar Association hosted its first "Taste of the World" event. Students celebrated their culinary heritages by bringing in their favorite dishes and sharing it with the rest of the law school community.
