UWM grads step into competitive job market Thousands of UW-Milwaukee students officially marked a major milestone Sunday as the university celebrated its 134th commencement ceremony at Panther Arena.

It's not just the memories but the people you meet along the way. Alternative Spring Break 2026 in the books and already thinking back to the amazing experience everyone shared on the journey to Asheville and all the fun we had there.

Can't wait to continue the momentum and friendships in Milwaukee!

It's been a busy week here at SET! Our Student Assessment and Research Committee (SARC) had their second meeting of the semester and working to have student's voices heard and influence the future of SET!

And last night we were lucky to have friends from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee come for an info session - pizza was just a bonus 😁

We're so excited to welcome employers to campus!

A great example of the power of student employment! Like they say, it takes a village, and on-campus supervisors are a great part of a students network. Chris Hoffmann is a great example to other supervisors at .

On-campus student employment offers more than a paycheck — it builds mentorship, real-world learning and career connections. With guidance from his supervisor, Uday Sanem’s on-campus role helped him secure a job offer ahead of his December 2025 graduation. Read more at the link in the comments!

At University of Wisconsin Milwaukee this year’s brought our community together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through action, learning, and reflection.

Our MLK Day of Service at Lloyd Barbee Montessori School brought people together for a day of hands-on impact.

The experience continued with Mission Possible: Building Community, a campus-wide gathering that created space for learning, dialogue, and connection.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped turn purpose into impact.

This isn't a fun way to start the week but it's important and needs to be shared. SET has been going to Asheville for Alternative Spring Break every year for many years bringing hundreds of students along for the journey. It's devastating to see a place you know destroyed.
