MPS is investing more in extracurricular programs for students, in the final budget for 2025-26.
The final budget also takes into account an extra $32 million in state aid for MPS, thanks in part to Milwaukee voters. Voters passed the referendum in 2024 that helps maintain art, music, and physical education instruction and mental health support in schools.
The school board approved the budget on Tuesday night.
